We first took notice of a young Drew Barrymore in the movie E.T. She became one of Hollywood's most recognized child actors. She went on to star in many romantic comedy films. She's always a joy to watch.
E.T - Her first major role. This is a classic family movie about a gorgeous alien who is known as E.T. (extra-terrestrial) He has a special bond with a boy and his little sister Gertie (Drew Barrymore) It's a great film.
Boys On The Side - One of the more sad movies that Drew has been in. It tells the story of three very different women who go on a cross-country journey together. Through some funny and tragic circumstances an unlikely friendship in born. I love this movie, I usually cry at the end.
The Wedding Singer - One of my favourites, you can't go wrong with the wedding singer. I used this movie in my hub for funny movie duos. Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler are perfect together. This is a hilarious movie with awesome characters and great music.
Ever After - This is a cinderella story like no other. It still involves the mean step mum and step sisters but this movie is fantastic. Drew Barrymore plays her part perfectly. A beautiful love story about accepting people for who they are.
Never Been Kissed - Another funny romantic comedy about Josie (Drew) going back to school undercover to report the experience and bringing back memories from her own highschool days.
Charlie's Angels - Three women played by Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu are know as Charlie's Angels. They work as private investigators for Charlie. They get into all sorts of funny situations. The action mixed with the comedy really works well together.
Donnie Darko - Another of Drew Barrymore's more serious roles, Donnie Darko is a dark thriller-fantasy movie. It's a very different movie, very unique.
Riding In Cars With Boys - This is an awesome movie about Beverly (Drew) who at 15 years old gets drunk and sleeps with a boy named Ray (Steve Zahn.) She finds out that she is pregnant and contemplates having an abortion but can't bring herself to do it. They get married and have the baby. It shows the troubles they go through being so young with a child.
Duplex - This movie is so ridiculously funny, I never fail to enjoy it. Starring Drew Barrymore with the one and only Ben Stiller. This is about a couple who move into their perfect place which is a duplex, with a lovely old lady living upstairs. They soon find out that it's not so perfect living there with such an annoying old lady. They plan to kill her, it is so funny the things they go through, a definite favourite.
50 First Dates - Once again Drew teams up with Adam Sandler for more of their perfect chemistry. Henry meets Lucy in a cafe and they immediately hit it off. They plan to meet again for breakfast the next morning but when Henry arrives, Lucy has no idea who he is. He is then informed that a year ago Lucy was in a car accident and suffers from a form of amnesia. Lucy believes every day is her fathers birthday which was the day of the accident so her father and brother re-enact it every day for her. This is about the lengths Henry will go to for love.
