Ahh love triangles! We love reading them in novels, reading about real-life ones in magazines and certainly we love watching them in a good movie. What is it about love triangles that pulls us in and leaves us wanting more? It’s the passion mixed with jealousy and rage that gets us interested. We all want to find out who will end up with who and who is left brokenhearted.
My Best Friends Wedding - Starring Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney and Cameron Diaz, this is a love triangle that is not to be missed. A great movie about a woman who is in love with her best friend, who is soon to be married. It shows what she will do to get him for herself.
Legends of the Fall - I can't put into words how great I think this movie is. A love triangle between a woman and two brothers that will break your heart. A fantastic movie that I recommend to anyone who has not yet seen it. Brad Pitt, Aidan Quinn and Anthony Hopkins are incredible in this film.
Twilight - Put a vampire story and throw in the quiet, mysterious girl, who two incredibly gorgeous guys (a vampire and a werewolf) are fighting for. This is every teenage girls dream and that's why everyone went crazy for the Twilight Saga. It's very entertaining and I'll admit I've enjoyed these movies, I really have, but some parts have seemed so ridiculous that I've laughed out loud.
Keeping the Faith - Two best friends, a Priest and a Rabbi, are both in love with their childhood friend. A very funny and enjoyable movie with Ben Stiller, Edward Norton and Jenna Elfman as the leads.
Tristan & Isolde - A Romeo & Juliet style love story that I adore! A story of passion and betrayal starring James Franco and Sophia Myles.
The Phantom of the Opera - An amazing musical love story that I absolutely love. Gerard Butler plays the Phantom, while Emmy Rossum plays his love interest, who is not interested in him. If you like musicals/opera then you will love this one.
Pearl Harbour - A touching war story mixed with a love triangle between two best friends and a beautiful woman. She can't have them both, so who will it be?
Bridget Jones' Diary - The hilarious comedy about a woman who is clumsy and embarrasses herself to no end, but who ends up having two men to choose from. So many funny moments in this movie.
Somethings Gotta Give - Diane Keating and Jack Nicholson shine together in this comedy about love. Throw in the young and gorgeous Keanu Reeves and you have yourself one interesting love triangle.
Bandits - I think this would have to be my favourite love triangle. Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton and Cate Blanchett are wonderful in this hilarious comedy/drama. The two friends are two completely different bank robbers but they both fight for her love, it's great!
A Home at the End of the World - A love triangle between two childhood boys and a woman. They all sort of love each other in this one and it's a pretty sad movie but still a really good one.
There's Something About Mary - A love triangle between Ben Stiller, Cameron Diaz and Matt Dillon will crack you up in this ridiculously funny comedy movie. This has to be one of my favourite comedy movies, I'm such a fan of Ben Stiller.
Reality Bites - Oh Ben Stiller again! He comes between Wynona Ryder and Ethan Hawke in this film. Ethan plays the character of the jealous/mean about it/don't care but really do guy.
Here on Earth - Another awesome movie, starring Josh Hartnett, LeeLee Sobieski and Chris Klein. They both love her but which one does she love? I really enjoyed this one :)

- Memorable Movie Yelling Scenes
Some of the most memorable scenes in movies are of yelling. Some are yelling for good reasons and others because they are feeling frustrated, upset or any other emotion. Some of these scenes really make you feel what the person on the screen is... - 13 months ago

Yes even crusty old blokes like Will and I like a good old love triangle. It's a nightmare searching for weeklies at the video store, so i'll be checking your movie hubs and start making a list. I watched The Social Network tonight and enjoyed it even though the background music masked about a third of the dialog. I have to wear head phones if i want to hear 'most' of the dialog. Legends of the fall was a bit unrealistic for a picky old chap like me. Pearl Harbour, so so. Bridget Jones, loved it, somethings got to give, loved it. Haven't seen the rest on your main list. Titanic and Gone with the wind are both brilliant and i love the title song and the singing Canary. Must dash, to the video store.
Casablanca.
Really well written and quite engaging. I think you were spot on with all your views. Don't forget Beautiful Girls, the ever wonderful Pirates of the Caribbean films (something for the boys and girls,) and one of my all time favorites Breakfast at Tiffany's (don't judge.) Mahalo for the writing.
Yes, the love triangle - always fascinating..you mentioned two of my favorite movies....Bridgette Jones, and He's Not That Into You! I Think I Love My Wife is another good one with a love triange...there are prob. a million others, as well! Nice hub!
Have not seen Keeping The Faith and it may be one I will have to view. One of my all time favorites is Phantom Of The Opera and such a classic tale of romance. I saw My Best Friends Wedding and Julia Roberts as the third person in the triangle is different for her as an actress but I found myself enjoying the movie. Didn't like the ending but it was sensible and the right thing to do.
